The things I'm working on or planning to do when I've got the spare time.

Farming

• Starting up a permaculture of sorts to see how many people can be provided for when the main constraint is time to tend (I work a lot) and money to spend (there's no reason to pay a huge amount to have your own taters if you can buy them from the farmer's market for a fraction of the price).
• Planning for a bike powered thresher to process grain.

Energy

• A vertical wind turbine out of scrap and 3D printed parts, for low cost battery charging (supporting lights in off-grid shacks).
• A mini hydroelectric system out of scrap and 3D printed parts, for low cost battery charging (supporting lights in off-grid shacks).

Language

• Learning some Vai - a language course to learn Vai (ꕙꔤ) for solo learners. Planned features include grammar, most common words, audio for pronunciation, guides to reading / writing the script, as well as a library of online resources (like research papers, documents and translations), and of course notes on the history and culture of the language and people.
